Catalysing and Leveraging Innovation in Medtech Biodesign (CLiMB) Program
Promoting Global Affordable Need Driven Healthcare Innovation (GANDHI) and Medical Device Product Development through Biodesign.
The Biodesign program(s) has been initiated for boosting medical device innovation in the country by providing training to medical technology innovators enabling them to become entrepreneurs and further the objectives of the Start-up-India and Make-in-India initiatives of the Government of India.
The Biodesign program is an inter-institutional collaborative program which will be implemented in collaboration between medical and engineering institutes.
The aim of this program is to focus on development of medical devices as per unmet needs of India through structured Biodesign process involving Clinical Immersion, Need Identification, Need Filtration, Concept Generation and Product Development. Multidisciplinary team of doctors, engineers, product designers and business management professionals will be enrolled for developing globally relevant medical device and diagnostics as per unmet needs of India.
